Fibromyalgia Work Advice
We recommend having a discussion with your employer about your diagnosis and how this may impact upon your work.

Your employer will not want to lose you, it is therefore within their interest to try and make some reasonable adjustments to make you be able to continue to work more comfortably.
We advise having some solutions in mind upon commencing discussions with your employer, this could be:
- Reduced hours
- Reduced number of days
- Increased breaks throughout the day
- Working sitting down instead of standing
- Working day shifts instead of night shifts
- Changing roles within the organisation.
- Setback management

Testimonials
Katy, the Physiotherapist was helpful and caring. She explained the ins and outs of everything to me and gave me helpful advice in language that I was able to understand. I felt that my needs had been met and I learnt what I needed to do to improve my health and wellbeing. Thank you!

I received the best explanation to Fibromyalgia that I had ever heard, I was made to feel listened to and believed, something that I had never had before!

I met Katy the Physiotherapist in an online consultation in November 2021, she was very understanding, holistically looked at my condition, person centred approach, offered an exercise programme to help improve my fitness and gave me some advice about how I can improve my overall well being. This in turn gave me personal goals to aim for as well as much needed hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
